Hello world !!!
Its Friday ... Its the week-end !!!
Its month end too.
Too bad 1st May Labour day falls on a Sunday.
One holiday lost.
My friend celebrates his b'day on 1st May.
But his away sailing on a cruiseliner in the Caribbean.
I dont know how to contact him. But usually
he calls me on his B'day coz he knows he is inaccessable.
Anyways Happy Birthday "Rony". Get married soon.
Reminds that its been a year since I met a girl lets call her "Miss M".
I met Miss M on the chat and we hit off instantly.
She was from another city, but when she came to look for
work in my city we decided to meet up and hit off instantly.
Miss M was a bindaas tomboyish girl. Everyday I used to take her out
for interviews, she used to come home cook, we used to
eat together then I used drop her to her PG at night.
She got a job after one month and she got busy with work.
But we used to talk to each other and meet on week-ends.
We became good friends.
But then suddenly oneday she vanished.
No phone nothing. I was worried.
Then after two months she called me saying
that she has left the city and relocated.
I remember celebrating her b'da y last year.
May 2 - Miss M's bday. Happy B'day MissM.
So soon a year has passed by. Now I dont
have any news from Miss M nor her whereabouts.
Hoping she calls me sometime. I miss her.

As Joe admired himself in the mirror,
the salesman asked, "How about a new shirt?"

The salesman eyed Joe and said, "Let's see, 34 sleeve and 16-1/2 neck."
Joe was surprised, "That's right, how did you know?"
"Been in the business 60 years!" Joe tried on the shirt,
and it fit perfectly.Joe walked comfortably around the shop
and the salesman asked, "How about some new underwear?"
>>Joe thought for a second and said, "Sure." The salesman stepped back,
eyed Joe's waist and said, "Let's see...size 36."
Joe laughed, "Ah ha! I got you!
I've worn size 34 since I was 18 years old.
"The salesman shook his head, "You can't wear a size 34.
A 34 underwear would press your testicles up
against the base of your spine and give you one hell of a headache."

Hello world !!!
It rained cats and dogs y'day in Bangalore.
I got stuck in the rain for three hours
as I did 'nt carry a jacket or cap.
By the time I reached home I was completely drenched.
How the climate has changed, showers in the middle
of Summer and in the Monsoons there are no rains.
Scientists say the climate is changing the world over
because of the depletion of the ozone layer caused by pollution.
Tsunami - Earthquakes - God knows what will come next?

Hello world !!!
Newspapers. Thats the first thing which I search for
when i get up every morning. My day is somewhat empty
unless i've read the morning paper mostly -"The Times of India".
I scan through the headlines and then go staight to the Sports pages.
Another must read is the comics section -
where I read Calvin&Hobbes, Garfield, Hagar the horrible,
Wizard of Id, Animal crackers.
But now for the last two months I've avoided reading
the papers totally and am feeling really good about it;
because I used to read some sad story which used to linger around
my mind for the entire day making me feel sad and blue.
Everyday you find more bad than good happening
in the world and that perks me no end - be it murder,
terrorism, rape, kidnapping, riots, arson, robberies....
The entire paper nowadays is filled with this filth,
leaving a bad taste in the mouth.
Today I read the paper and read about
how four bastards in a van kidnapped a woman
on the pretext of giving her a lift along with her children
and gang raped her. What the world is coming to?
Just the other day i read on somebody's blog about rape,
how rampant it is in India. Rapists should be hanged.
No two ways about it.
Anyways....

Its Thursday. Tomorrow - Friday another week-end.
Days are passing so fast nowadays.
We got a new TT table in our office.
I went and played y'day evening for about an hour.
It was good exercise. I've got to sweat it out
as I've got to get rid of my pounch.
I've bought a pair of soccer shoes too.
Hope to get up and practice in the mornings.
Nothing like Football to get you back into shape.
Reminds me that its been almost 5 years since I've
played any active sport. Quite a long time indeed.
There was a time when my day started with a game in the mornings.
It was either hockey, football or cricket practice depending on the season.
Even in the evenings I used to again go for practice or play matches
in the local leagues. How time has flown, now i dont get time for anything.
I miss those days immensely.
Hey nice to hear comments from all of you in my last post.

Its Wednesday - the middle of the week.
Got a call from my sailor friend.
He has just reached after 9 months of sailing.
He is a very close friend.
Last time around I could not meet him as I was busy with work.
Will have to go to Goa again to meet him.
Probably will plan it for next month.
Its really hot and humid in Goa now.
You sweat like a pig all the time.
Have to bathe at least three times in a day.
Im a bad writer, i can't put my thoughts to paper.

Im Back... after a long week-end...
Went to my village, good to meet my parents,
cousins and relatives after a long time.
Had lots of fish - prawns, squids, kingfish,
ladyfish, silverfish... I love sea-food especially when
it is cooked by my aunty. She simply is the best cook.

Its Thursday ... Been busy at work today...
Poor Saurav's bad form continues with the bat.
If that was not all he has been slapped with a 3 match ban
for slow over rate in the last two matches.
I really pity him B'coz he is my favourite captain.
In fact records show that he is the best Indian captain ever.
He has an aura to his captaincy-where everybody listens to him.
He commands respect and gets the best out of the team.
Reminds me of myself when I was my team captain.

Hello world !!!
Was passing by a theatre in the morning,
saw hordes of people around. I wondered what it might be,
because there sure is no show in the early mornings.
The poster was of the Salman Khan film- "LUCKY".
I wondered how people can come in the morning to
buy tickets for an afternoon show(That too for a SK movie in B'lore).
But my mystery was solved when I spoke with a friend.
It seems all the crowd is waiting to buy advance tickets
for the new Rajnikant movie - "Chandramukhi"
which will be releasing tomorrow.
Rajnikant is a famous Tamil actor and his legion
of fans are crazy to say the least.
Coincidentally another Tamil superstar -
Kamal Hassan's movie -"Mumbai express"
is slottted for release on the same day.
So all Tamil movie buffs are gonna have a gala time.
I see that Rajni has a more phenomenal fan following
than Kamal Hassan. Personally i like Kamal though.
Im not much into watching movies nowadays though.

After the week-end partying blitz ...
I needed to get some decent sleep ...
Came from work and slept early y'day night.
Thought of getting up early morning and play some football;
but the lazy bone that I am - turned off the alarm and slept on.

12 April - Today's my cousin's b'day - have to call him up.
Coming Sunday is my Dad's b'day...

Another week starts.
Monday is always slow to begin with.
The time just seems to pass so slowly.
Had a hectic week-end.
Lots of shopping, partying and drinking ...
Bought -->
A pair of Nike shoes.
2 pairs of Jeans.
Sunglasses.

"Manic Monday" a lovely song by the Bangles.
Been listening to this song after a real long time.
Bangles was a fantastic all girls 80's band.
But I dont know they just faded away.
"Walk like an Egyptian" was a fantastic video.
Guess it won a Grammy for Best video if Im not wrong.

Heart attack

Hello World !!!
My friends Dad expired the day before y'day.
He was alone in the house and my friend came home
to see his Dad lying on the floor. He tried to revive him
but he was already dead. He took him to hospital
and it was confirmed that he had a massive heart attack.
He never had any medical history, no smoking, no drinking.
But life's like that i guess nowadays. May his soul rest in peace.
Last month another of my colleagues Dad too died of a heart attack.
Very sad. A person who is part and parcel of your life everyday,
suddenly he is no more - it creates such a void in your life.

It rained buckets y'day night.
Welcome Showers in the middle of summer.
The temperatures have dipped appreciably.
I like the weather - you dont want to get outta bed.
Just want to cuddle and sleep all day;
and if you got that someone special with you- nothing like it.
Snuggle up and make love. Too bad I dont have anybody right now. Sigh...
That reminds me of my GF last year and when it first rained.
I skipped work to be with her all day.
How time flies. She has gone her own way now leaving
me all alone to face the cold.
Thats life I guess...

Champions league - Liverpool vs Juventus.
Liverpool won 2-1, quite an emotionally charged game
as both sides are playing against each other after almost
20 years since the 1985 Heysel tragedy in Belgium when
39 of Italian fans died in the stands due to a stampede.
Liverpool were banned from all Europeans competition
for 10 years I guess after that.
I want Liverpool to win the Champions league this time,
especially after both my favorites - Arsena land Real Madrid are out.
As expected India won the 2nd One dayer.
But it was a close game as the Pakis almost came close to the target.

Hello world !!!
Back to work after a good week-end.
Friday night went out partying with friendz.
Drank quite a bit - knowing Saturday is holiday.
Saturday went out on house hunt.
By God - B'lore house rent has spiralled like anything.
A decent 2 bedroom flat is anything 8k upwards.
I thought it would be around 6k. Now Im opting for
a 1 BHK flat, so the search is on.
Met with my friend and his G/F Saturday night.
Went to a PUB, the crowd was so lousy;
a guy got drunk and dancing all alone like a bloddy fool.
Uff - got pissed off, was supposed to get up and give him
a piece of my mind; but kept my cool.
My friend suggested lets get some tenners and go throw
it on him as they do in a Dance bar... That would have been fun.
Picked up some food and beer,went to my friends flat.
Watched some good Football-with beer, chicken tikka
and kalmi kebab. And at 3 pm just surfing the channels;
when i saw the news Flash that the Pope had passed away.
May his soul rest in eternal peace.
Switched the channels and bingo I see Mithun da..
Long since I had seen Mithun da's movie.
Name of the movie was Jallad - double role ...
Dont ask me - its a movie which will drive a
person out ofthe theatre swearing not to watch a movie again in his lifetime.
But I watch this movie for the fun of it,
Mithun da's clothes ..wah wah jawab nahi.
His unique dancing ... his dialogues ...his voice..
It makes me laugh to no end...
