Got a bad cold. The weather here is dull and cloudy.
Dont feel like getting up in the morning.
Just want to lay down in bed all day.
Someone called me up and said its so Romantic.
Yeah it sure is, you just want to lay in your darling's arms
cuddling and hugging all day. So romantic.
Its Thursday already. Another week-end ahead.

Hello world !!!
Had a long week-end.
Went to my village - a small coastal town
on the Arabian sea. Monsoons have set in.
Hardly saw the sun for last three days.
Its dull and gloomy and raining.
But thats how it is Monsoon - i love the season,
nothing like playing football in the rain - the muck - the dirt -
the sweat - come home in clothes drenched with muck to get
Mom's scolding - those were the days.
Watched the Confederation cup semifinals
Brazil vs Germany and ARgetnina vs Mexico
Both matches were dull affairs, hope the final
lives up to its billing - Brazil vs. Argentina.
Viva Brazil - Im a devout Brazilian fan - way to go Brazil.
How was your weekend folks ?

Finally got around to buy the book -
"Da Vinci Code" by Dan Brown.
Started reading y'day and have to say its indeed gripping,
there was so much hype about it that I had to read it.
Its been almost 10 years since I had read a book.
A must read for all i should say.

Not guilty !!!
Thats the verdict in the Michael Jackson case.
Although Im not a big MJ fan, i do like his songs.
Especially his videos were revolutionary -
be it 'Black or white", Beat it, Jam or Thriller album.
So coming to the point - MJ was found not guilty of all
charges of child molestation. I never thought he was a child molester,
just because he likes kids does not make him a paedophile.
Everything was blown out of proportion here. He admitted sleeping
with children - but the media jumped the gun and some vested interests
who wanted to make money made a case of it;
to such a level that it has destroyed him - the King of Pop looks a Pauper.
I doubt he will rise to be a King again.

sick week-end

Hello world !!!

Had a sick week-end, was in bed all three days.
Felt feverish Thursday night - went home crashed
could not get up next morning - skipped work.
Went to a doctor who gave me a shot and some medicines.
The tabs were so strong they drained me off all my energy.
Was in bed doing nothing. Sunday night felt better.
monday back to work.
Today Tuesday - feeling much better.

"Two mules for sister Sara" , then who can forget him

My Top Five Favorite War Movies ->

1. The Great Escape.
My all time favorite. The way they build a tunnel - Steve Mcqueen on the bike on the border - Playing Football - Pele - Sylvester Stallone as goalkeeper. Too bad everybody gets caught in the end.

2. Guns of Navrone.
Gregory Peck at his best.

3. Where Eagles dare.
Clint Eastwood and Richard Burton at their best.

4. The Dirty Dozen.

5. Bridge over the river Kwai.

All these movies are Old. I did'nt watch much newer movies,
but ones which got rave reviews are -

Schindlers list.

My usual dialogue at home when i needed money.
She used to always tell me to watch my spending.
Even if I give you 1 lakh, you will spend in oneday she scolded.
How true I'm a total spendthrift,
money just does not seem to stick to me.
My thinking has always been that -
What do you do when your hands are dirty ??
You wash them right.
So my philosophy is that money is dirt,
you have to wash them(spend) to come clean.
How do people save ??? and for what ???
I agree save for the worse times,
but most people are misers, they cut down on
their eating, no partying, no shopping, no pubs,
no discs, no concerts, no plays theatre cinema.
Cmon why are you earning for,
please go out and enjoy. Saving for a rainy day is good,
but not at the expense of your enjoyment.
OF what use is the money if you are not there tomorrow ???
