hmmm, good question. Speaking on my behalf I think I'm most jealous in the early stages when I still don't know where I stand in the other person's eyes. If in a relationship I would only have some healthy forms of jealousy.
I think in relationships men are more jealous because there more competitive (i think). It really depends on the person. Either way jealousy is only acceptable to certain extents. I'm not sure if I answered the question but I tried :) have a nice weekend.

I believe, women are more jealous in general. It does not mean that men are not jealous, may be, men are smart enough to hide it. Women are also jealous of each other, men are probably less jealous of each other, they also get along well with eachother. Women, they fight more, root cause, more emotions.
i'm sorry venus you seem to have a very negative outlook for women which is strange since you are one. i think it would help if you had more females to understand that "men are smart enough to hide it" is not such a positive statement on behalf of women.

well, when it comes to relationships, men are way more jealous than women! (Probably, the ego factor ;)
But otherwise, both men and women are jealous about different things - so it evens out!!
Lorena Venus Interesting debate. My opinion is that be it woman or man it depends on their personality. Woman being more jealous than men is a myth and certainly in these times i find men are more jealous than woman. I certainly am more J - honest confession.
